As part of an ongoing strategy to offer greater friction management solutions to its customers,
The Timken Corporationhas expanded its offering of condition monitoring products to include a machine evaluator series, along with a series of continuous monitoring devices and online systems.
The machine evaluator, a handheld instrument used in a wide array of industrial applications, has been designed with a comprehensive range of functions to help detect bearing damage and inadequate lubrication conditions. The results are automatically evaluated and displayed on a green/yellow/red condition scale. Additionally, the instrument is said to have advanced diagnosis capabilities to detect common machine faults, such as imbalance, misalignment and structural weakness. The instrument can also be upgraded to include single- and two-plane balancing, and laser alignment.
Along with the machine evaluator, Timken has added four other series of handheld instruments, continuous monitoring devices and online systems. These new monitoring products are an addition to Timken's line of condition monitoring solutions, which includes StatusCheck, a wireless system designed to detect and monitor excessive levels of vibration and temperature.
