Almost 400 readers joined us on the flight of fancy of last week's poll about the possibilities of future aerial urban transport. However, the largest group of respondents, just short of a majority response of 48%, thought that flying around cities would never be practical. Among the optimists, the most popular option was personal pods carried by autonomous drones, attracting 13% of total respondents. App-summoned self-piloted vehicles gathered slightly fewer votes, also rounding up to 13%. A flying bus service was the favoured option of 12%, while the Blade Runner style flying car was the least popular option on 6%, gathering even fewer supporters even than those 8% who declined to pick an option.
