Last week’s Poll saw 39 per cent of respondents seeing LHC’s commercial spin offs being developed “in an area related tangentially to its research”.
The option of communications spin-offs limped in last with three per cent of the vote, with medicine and imaging, and electronics or computing faring better with 12 per cent and 16 per cent respectively.
A total of 15 per cent thought commercial spin-offs would likely occur from its legacy of international collaboration, and the same number of respondents didn’t see any of the options given as viable.
