Spirax Sarco has run four Boiler Operative Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) courses so far with candidates achieving a 94% pass rate. BOAS is the only nationally recognised qualification in its field and provides boiler operators with the skills they need for their everyday work.
“My colleagues and I have completed several courses, but BOAS was definitely one of the most worthwhile and informative,” says past delegate Mike Ferrick from Prinovis,
The courses cover the key aspects of boiler operation such as; heat and heat transfer, boilers and auxiliaries and draught and combustion, making for a practical, useful and easy to apply course. They also examine the wider issues such as safety and legal, energy efficiency and the environmental considerations. Knowledge of these issues can help companies fulfil their responsibilities to their staff and the environment.
Future BOAS courses will be held on the dates below. For more information about Spirax Sarco training courses call Maria Stanley on 01242 535211 or visit www.spiraxsarco.com/uk/training.
