Fenner Precision, a paper propulsion equipment specialist headquartered in Hull, has acquired Winfield Industries, a North American manufacturer of polyurethane and silicone tyres for imaging applications.
Financial terms of the contract, which was finalised this week, were not revealed.
Fenner Precision designs, develops and manufactures polyurethane mini-pitch timing belts, rubber flat belts, tyres and pulleys for office automation and paper propulsion applications. Alternately, Winfield Industries applies its technologies to the digital imaging, medical and diagnostic imaging fields.
‘The combination of Winfield’s custom moulded and Fenner Precision’s polymer reinforced fabric technology will enable us to offer a broader range of solutions to our customers through a jointly formed global sales and marketing organisation,’ said Jeffrey Oak, president of Winfield.
Winfield’s Buffalo, New York site will continue operations under the Fenner Precision name.
