GLOBAL engineering firm Earth Tech has been awarded a prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award.
Gold Awards are presented to organisations that have achieved a high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and outstanding control of risk and low levels of error, harm and loss.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has presented Earth Tech with gold awards for four consecutive years in 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006 and a silver award was given in 2005.
Tony White, managing director of Earth Tech UK & Europe, said:
“This is just reward for all the hard work and effort everyone at Earth Tech has put in over the last year, and is deserved recognition for our continued drive to world class safety, health and environmental performance.”
Steve Wood, European safety director, added:
“The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work; they are also about ensuring that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. They help reinforce the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrates an organisations’ commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.”
The RoSPA Awards scheme is one of the longest running and most highly respected occupational award programmes. The scheme is open to organisations of all sizes.
