Aker Kvaerner has been awarded a $15m contract with PPL Shipyard in Singapore for delivery of drilling equipment for a Baker Marine Pacific Class 375 jack-up drilling rig.

The award is based on a letter of intent signed with PPL Shipyard in October 2006. The work will be undertaken in
The scope of work for Aker Kvaerner MH is to deliver engineering and commissioning services in addition to the drilling equipment.
The jack-up drilling rig is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2008. The drilling rig will be designed for worldwide operation.
