It will serve the wind farms at Los Lirios, La Retuerta, El Almendro, La Tallisca, Valdefuentes, Las Cabezas, El Centenar, El Saucito and Majal Alto, and later act as the main hub for transporting electrical energy to Andalucia.
The wind farms were developed by the Andevalo Community of Electrical System Assets, part-owned by Gamesa and Age Generation Eolica.
Work on the transmission line will be carried out during the second half of this year and throughout next year.
It should go into operation in October 2009.
