Yorkshire Fittings has extended a control network provided by CC-Link to its entire factory in Leeds. Initially a SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system was installed to monitor the performance of a bank of compressors and optimise energy usage. The efficiency gains and additional capability to log detailed operational data and provide full management reports led to it complete roll out. CC-Link is an open field device level ideal for machine, cell or process control in manufacturing and production industries.
