Siemens Power Generation (PG) has acquired Wheelabrator Air Pollution Control for an undisclosed sum.
With sales of $116 million in the first eight months of 2005, Wheelabrator is an air pollution control company with a broad air pollution control product offering, including wet and dry scrubbing systems, fabric filter systems and dry and wet electrostatic precipitators.
Wheelabrator, with headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA, has operations in Milton, Ontario, Canada. It will become part of the Siemens Power Generation global services division.
Siemens PG last expanded its portfolio in 2004 by acquiring Bonus Energy, one of the world’s five leading manufacturers of wind turbines.
