Bombardier Transportation has received an order worth approximately €55m to supply 37 new generation double-deck coaches for the suburban rail network Koleje Mazowieckie in the Mazovia region of Poland.
The customer, the Mazovia Region and the European Investment Bank (EIB), will share funding for the order.
The double-deck coaches planned for Poland are already being employed in Germany, Luxembourg, Denmark and Israel. Around 2000 of the double-deck coaches have been running over the last 13 years. In Germany, over 1600 Bombardier double-deck coaches are transporting passengers on a daily basis.

Delivery of the coaches is scheduled to be completed in 2008
