BAE Systems has received a $37m production contract from the US Air Force to provide 41 AN/ALR-56M radar warning receiver systems.
The systems will be used on board new C-130J aircraft for the US Air Force and Marine Corps.
The AN/ALR-56M detects a range of incoming radar signals and identifies and characterises their origin as friend or foe. It alerts the pilot when it detects threats to the aircraft.
All production, test, and delivery work will take place at BAE Systems’
