This week’s video comes from Airbus Safran Launchers, which has finalised the architecture for the Ariane 6 launch vehicle.
Airbus Safran Launchers is the lead contractor for Ariane 6 and is developing the new launcher under a contract signed with the European Space Agency on August 12, 2015.
In 2015 Airbus Safran Launchers and its parent companies completed 6 Ariane 5 launches in 7 months, with at least 7 launches planned for this year.
Set for its maiden flight in 2020, Arian 6 – to be built in A62 and A64 configurations - is being designed to meet the expectations of the satellite launch market, both for satellites of average mass and heavy mass in geostationary transfer orbit.
