Alstom signs €1.3bn contract with Eskom

Alstom has signed a contract worth more than €1.3bn with state-owned utility Eskom to provide equipment for a 4,740MW coal-fired power station in
Alstom will provide six 790MW steam turbine and turbogenerator packages for the supercritical pulverised coal-fired Bravo power plant
The contract comprises six steam turbines with six turbogenerators, six air-cooled condensers and the related auxiliary equipment. Alstom will also provide associated erection and commissioning services.
The contract will be booked in the first half of the fiscal year 2008/2009.
