Edinburgh-based Alba Bioscience has announced funding to create 16 new research and development jobs and develop novel technologies in life science diagnostics.
The company’s investment includes a £1.8m R and D grant from RDA Scottish Enterprise.

Alba Bioscience manufactures diagnostic reagents and is one of the largest manufacturers of monoclonal blood grouping products in the world, with over 70 per cent of orders coming from overseas.
Its product range also includes contract manufacturing services in cryo preservation, freeze drying and antibody production.
