Smiles Per Hour

Fiat Group Automobiles UK has launched a nationwide design competition, ‘Smiles Per Hour,’ to find a new ‘fun’ way to travel.

The designer of the winning invention, which can be a transporting device or a gadget that makes travelling more enjoyable, will receive a £50,000 prize.

The invention can be based on traditional transport, such as a bike or a boat.

Elena Bernardelli, Fiat Group Automobiles UK marketing director, said: ‘We want entries from inventors of all ages from all over the country.

‘We can’t wait to see some great prototypes that go on to become marketable products in their own right.’
