RMB Engineering wins exclusive TECO Westinghouse UK distribution deal

TECO are consolidating the supply of LV motors to the UK market in an exclusive deal with long standing supplier RMB Engineering, now part of Deritend Industries. The deal covers the full range of TECO LV motors including high efficiency IEC frame motors, lightweight aluminium frame motors, integrated brake motors, smoke extraction motors and heavy-duty cast iron motors.

RMB, already an established supplier to the rewind and electric motor distribution trade is offering trade discounts that will allow existing re-sellers to maintain and grow their existing business; while OEM customers and some end users will also be able to deal direct with RMB as the sole first-tier distributor for England, Scotland and Wales.

Commenting, Mark Brady, Operations Director at RMB Engineering, “TECO motors are recognised in the marketplace as extremely good quality items, we have been selling the brand for many years now and know the product range very well. We will be stocking popular items in branches across the UK as well as calling on new UK stock from TECO. In our opinion recent turmoil in the European LV motor market has meant that as well as reliability of the product, reliability of supply has become a major issue and we are looking to restore confidence with a wide range of guaranteed product that is immediately available.”

RMB are offering a 3-year guarantee on all cast iron TECO motors, including both TECO Advantage IEC high efficiency cast iron EFF1 motors and the TECO EFF2 cast iron range. Brake motors and aluminium motors are guaranteed for a year as standard, but will also have extended warranties available from RMB for normal usage conditions.

TECO’s medium and high voltage motors are also now available through RMB Engineering, although not included in the exclusivity deal. The extensive experience of RMB Engineering allied with the motor expertise offered via the Deritend Group provides a solid specification and supply route for engineers that are facing extended lead times from other areas of the industry and require a focussed source with tremendous on-site knowledge and support available.
