The Big Picture, 11 February) contains the claim that it is '...the first in the world to feature an articulated architecture with bogies located between the carriages...'
APT in 1981, APT-E in 1972, the Spanish Talgo trains in the 1950s and even the Silver Jubilee on the LNER in 1935 were all high-speed trains with articulated carriage sets.
So what is so special that makes AGV 'the first'?
