Well construction technology firm, Caledus, has signed a contract with Houston-based Cannon Services to distribute a range of products and solutions for the North Sea completions market.
The Aberdeen-headquartered group will act as the North Sea and Europe representative for Cannon Services’ range of control lines and cable clamps for artificial lift activities in the region.
Under the agreement, Caledus will exclusively offer Cannon’s range of technologies in the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark and Germany.
Paul Howlett, chief executive and co-founder of Caledus, said: ‘The majority of our products and services are focused on providing total depth drilling solutions, but our relationship with Cannon Services will enable us to deliver total depth solutions for the completions sector as well. In particular, Cannon’s products will complement our Disposable CleanUP Tool and NaviGATOR Sub.’
Howlett added that the partnership may develop products that could be extended to other regions in the future.
Kurt Hickey, chief operating officer of Cannon Services, said: ‘The maturity of the industry in the North Sea and the fact that more and more completions are being run on cables and control lines mean it is entirely appropriate for us to focus attention on this sector.'
